Hannover trade fair and wire Moskau:
AstroPlast and Franz Funke to be on the spot
Striking appearances at the world's leading industrial fair Hannover-Messe in April and at the Wire Moscow, a special exhibition in May 2009 for manufacturers of wires and cables, have enhanced the market presence of AstroPlast Kunststofftechnik GmbH & Co. KG. In Moscow the emphasis was placed on AstroPlast's own programme of plastic spools for manufacturers of wires, cables, tapes or optical fibres. Many visitors showed particular interest in the so-called "SC-ABS winter spools". These are suitable for low temperatures with special chemical stability even for the most extreme production conditions, e.g. spooling with drawing emulsions, so that they are ideal for use in Scandinavia and Russia where they have already been tested millions of times.
In Hannover the company from Sundern also presented its know-how in manufacturing customised technical injection moulding parts for a wide range of applications in electrical and household appliances and in the logistics branch. A presentation of the company's own tool shop rounded off the appearance in Hannover. AstroPlast is well-equipped with efficient machinery for clamping forces from 50 tonnes to 2.300 tonnes, with a focus in particular on larger machines. This means the company is capable of producing injection moulding parts with a unit weight of up to 12 kg each.
Managing Director Dr. Wolfgang Kemper is satisfied with the company's trade-fair appearances: "The global recession naturally meant that the atmosphere was not particularly elated, but the response at our booth was definitely satisfactory. And Wire Moscow even succeeded our expectations. Together with our representatives on the Russian market, we were able to establish a large number of new contacts and open up possibilities for business after the trade fair. Our trade-fair appearances deliberately set an accent against the current cycle, presenting our company as a reliable, financially sound partner particularly during the recession".
